Seven poet teachers in Mendocino County have the opportunity to work with approximately 13,000 students each year. An affiliated branch of California Poets In The Schools, Mendocino Poets in the Schools (MPitS) is funded in part by the Mendocino County Office of Education (MCOE). MPitS also receives funding from county schools, individuals, and foundations. The following CPITS poets teach in Mendocino County:
