Thanksgiving
1.
Golden Deliciousness--
Stuffing, Your Deliciousness,
thank you for
making a delicious side-dish.
O side-kick of turkey,
master of gravy,
let me eat your golden
pieces of bread.
Yum!2.
Vibrant One--
Dear ruby red cranberries,
mighty jewel of the table,
queen of the potatoes
and green beans,
painting my plate
with your red jelly.
Let me dive in!3.
Mountain of Yellow--
O great craggy mountain tops
of mashed potatoes,
your rivers of butter
run down my plate from
hidden springs inside you.
Now I begin my long trek
to the top!John Salman

Bored
When I'm bored
I'm a candle
without a flame,
an eagle
without wings,
a farm
without animals.
When I'm bored
I'm a garden
without flowers,
song
without a tune.Gabriel Speer

Riddle Poem*I ruled the world
in pre-historic times.
My ancestors
carved canyons.
Homes are made of me,
even a hotel in Sweden.
My children cool
drinks and show up
everywhere in winter.
My freezing grip has
claimed countless lives
and two kingdoms.
Roads become
hazardous when I arrive.
Global warming
is my greatest enemy.*Ice

SorryIt would seem
that I was shaky and fearful
today, and not listening.
But you see
last night
I had a dream.
It was stormy
clouds formed
demonic shapes which solidified.
I was destroyed.
Nothing left.
It was like a camera
relaying my grievous fate.
So I could not help it
with dark raindrops slashing
through the air
exploding on the ground
that when the shadowy
clouds formed in the sky
to create a monster
all I could do was shake.Sam Katz

OrangeOrange is the taste
of a juicy tangerine.
Orange is a balloon
floating away
in the breeze.
Orange is the sun
talking to us.
Orange is happiness
and excitement.
Orange is the feeling
that makes you
hungry at night.
Orange is
the tambourine
marching by
in the parade.
Orange is the world
flying away.

Say SeedSay seed, black and shining
like tiny beady eyes yet to become
something beautiful.
Say seed, large and brown
like smooth wooden pebbles.
Say seed, a feeling of life
giving birth to new nature.
Say seed, it comes at the end
and starts a beginning.Cyprus Van Inwegen
