Nicasio School - 1st - 8th graders selected lines from their poems to create Poetry Peace Flags. Both students and teachers participated. The flags will be displayed alongside student poems at their open house, all of which they wrote during the Spring 2023 residency with Poet-Teacher, Michele Rivers. The flags will be sewn onto blue ribbon and after a short display in the school office, they will be forwarded to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Ukraine. Michele writes, “Nicasio School is full of creativity and love. This small country school is a favorite of mine, I have been teaching there for over 20 years. It seems perfect to send our support to the people - especially to the children - of Ukraine with these flags.”

April 30th, at 3 pm, Marin Poets in the Schools will hold their annual student reading at Book Passage in Corte Madera. A lively event, this often draws over 100 parents, family members, and friends. Everyone is welcome.

Marin Poetry Center's High School Arts Mashup will be on display until April 14, 2023, at the Belvedere-Tiburon Library. Check it out!
